The IDN is comprised of patient groups with a direct interest and concern in organ donation and transplant issues in Ireland. The role of the IDN is to bring groups together to: The IDN is comprised of patient groups with a direct interest and concern in organ donation and transplant issues in Ireland. The role of the IDN is to bring groups together to:

• Advocate for, encourage and support better organ donation and transplant rates in Ireland
• Provide a patient perspective on all organ donation and transplant issues
• Raise awareness about organ donation and transplantation in Ireland in partnership with other key stakeholders.

The IDN iconcerned with all transplants, including  solid organ transplants such as Kidney, Lung, Heart, Liver, intestine and Pancreas transplants. We also have a concern for bone and soft tissue transplantation, through we accept our work on the latter is at an early stage but is one we hope to develop.
